  8.         First of all. I hope my english ain't to bad, and that
  9.         you are all able to understand it.

  11.                                  1.HISTORY
  12.         This is a program designed for all you guitar-entusiast
  13.         out there. This is the first version of the program and
  14.         it's coded in Borland C++ 3.1. The reason why I made
  15.         this program, was that the program GUITARE which provides
  16.         kind of the same features, doesn't function so good on my
  17.         PC. So THE CHORD-FINDER is made for you PC-users, and I 
  18.         think it's pretty easy to use.

  20.         This program may be freely spread around. aslong as no fees
  21.         are taken. Anybody that want's to use this program on a regulary 
  22.         basis, and appreciates the work that has been done, feel free
  23.         to send some money for using the program. Contributions are 
  24.         most welcome. It will make it possible for me to put a bit 
  25.         more time into developing this program further, and making new 
  26.         programs.

  29.                           2.WHAT THE PROGRAM DOES                             
  30.         THE CHORD-FINDER is a program where you can search for 
  31.         chords, which you wonder how to play. You may search in 
  32.         various ways. This program will hopefully give you an 
  33.         answer. At this moment it containes the answer how to play 
  34.         over 800 chords, and it is possible for the user to add 
  35.         chords to this list.

  37.                           3.HOW TO USE THE PROGRAM
  38.         Using the program is very simple. When you search for a 
  39.         chord you only have to write the name of this chord.
  40.         Be sertain that you write the name all in one, without
  41.         any spaces between.

  48.                         C9(#11)
  49.                         C7-5

  53.         This is just a few examples, but I think this will 
  54.         explain the main idea. With big letters for the main 
  55.         chord and the rest in small letters. If one or more strings 
  56.         is not to be played, the program will indicate this by 
  57.         turning them red.

  59.         To add chords is another matter. This is done by telling
  60.         the computer which bar to be pressed for the actual string.

  70.         You will also be able to see if your input is right on the
  71.         screen. At last you get a question to answer, Wheather the 
  72.         input is right or not. As you see in the example the number 
  73.         99 has been used. This will mean that this string is not 
  74.         meant to be pulled when playing the chord.

  76.         There is also an alternative to search for the name of a chord 
  77.         which you know how to play. You just give the computer the
  78.         numbers, just the same as when you add a chord to the archive,
  79.         and then the program vil tell you the name of the chord. A chord
  80.         may also have different names, so all alternatives will be 
  81.         listed.

  83.         Another function this program provides is to search for other
  84.         names of a chord you already know. Here you tell the name of
  85.         the chord, and you'll get some alternative names if they exists.
